We have an excellent opportunity for a Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations located at our National Headquarters in Dallas, TX.
The Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations leads the design, implementation and coordination of an Association-wide comprehensive donor relations and stewardship plan and system that appropriately and consistently promotes interaction with and recognition of donors and volunteers at all levels. The Director and the team will work closely with volunteers and staff across the organization to ensure a consistent and proactive approach to stewardship is being implemented in markets nationwide.
This position is responsible for ensuring positive and mutually-rewarding relations between the American Heart Association and its donors; partnering with Development and other staff to determine the best strategies for effective stewardship of donors and volunteers; maintaining ongoing and active networking with internal and external constituencies; and leading the development and implementation of recognition events and activities for donor engagement.
The Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations will oversee the department that designs, documents, and implements a systematic and integrated donor relations program. The department is responsible for devising and using consistent, accurate, and appropriate information-sharing mechanisms for stewarding prospects and donors. The team proactively supports the stewardship responsibilities of the development staff by partnering with them in establishing and coordinating individualized stewardship plans for donors and volunteers. The Stewardship Director also develops and directs the vision for engagement of volunteers in stewardship association-wide, including strategies for ongoing stewardship of major donors, planned giving prospects, corporate donors, other individual donors and association volunteers.
