- Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality & Systems Improvement Director serving the states of North Dakota and South Dakota. Director will be ideally be located in the Fargo or Bismarck, ND or Sioux Falls or Rapid City, SD areas. Will have a home office set-up.
Director will be responsible for the overall implementation activities to achieve quality improvement goals in the following areas: stroke, heart failure, resuscitation, and the Mission: Lifeline initiative.
Responsibilities include: Assisting hospitals and clinics to improve performance indicators; marketing Get with the Guidelines programs and the Mission: Lifeline initiative to health partners; identifying, cultivating, and maintaining key relationships; customer relationship management; quality improvement consulting; plan and coordinate accredited and non- accredited workshops; program facilitation.

- Ability to travel up to 80%.
- Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2007 or higher used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.
- Must have the ability to lift at least 20lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
- Required Experience
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in healthcare: clinical or quality improvement. Experience must include either of the following: 1) acute care hospital experience working directly on clinical quality or process improvement projects, or 2) a national cardiac clinical quality improvement program that incorporates data capture within a process improvement framework. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position's educational requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Science, Health Care, or Public Health from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 1/2 years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in healthcare: clinical or quality improvement. Experience must include either of the following: 1) acute care hospital experience working directly on clinical quality or process improvement projects, or 2) a national cardiac clinical quality improvement program that incorporates data capture within a process improvement framework. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position's educational requirement.
