We have an excellent opportunity for a Report Writer located in our National Headquarters, Dallas, TX.

The Report Writer performs a variety of reporting and analytical duties with a heavy emphasis on financial report development and maintenance of the financial report library; will transition the AHA to IQ4Bis, a new reporting tool and will then maintain the Association's reporting library; build a network of meaningful volunteer partnerships to advance the mission of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association; provide timely direction, framework and resources to volunteers while at the same time relying on their expertise, abilities and willingness to leverage their networks to drive the goals of the organization. This position will share meaningful opportunities for volunteers so they can utilize their passion to further the mission of the organization; give recognition to volunteers for their efforts to help ensure their success and drive satisfaction; hold each other accountable, both volunteers and staff, while being accessible and build collaborative staff-volunteer partnerships that are based on a foundation of mutual trust and create a collaborative environment where staff from various functions work together to achieve results across health, revenue and volunteerism goals for the organization.

Additional Responsibilities Will Include:
*Build financial reports using AHA's reporting tool for Internal and External customers. - Understand table usage in accounting system (JDE) to build data cubes
*Prepare and document reporting specifications according to AHA reporting guidelines: - Establish and follow report development protocols, data integrity and testing measures using appropriate environments and communication channels (DEV, TEST, PY, PROD). - Work with Technology and Customer Strategies (TCS) to document back end reporting requirements
* Ensure reports balance with the accounting system's general ledger prior to publication
* Establish and maintain appropriate security levels within the reporting tool
* Intake all financial report requests including specifications gathering and prioritization. - Define and manage the intake and requirements processes
* Maintain reports library ensuring reports requiring maintenance and updates are done timely
* Training - Prepare and maintain training materials for American Heart University classes (i.e. subject matter expert) - Conduct or coordinate live training through various media (Teleconference, Videoconference, Face to Face etc.) as needed
* Customer Service - Primary point of contact for end user reporting needs - Provide high quality, timely customer service to internal and external customers
* Actively participates in and/or leads task forces/working groups, including agenda and exhibit preparation/coordination, meeting attendance minutes, follow-up action items Please review the experience section below to see if you meet the qualifications for this position.

Required Experience

'Bachelors degree required
'5+ years experience in a similar role
'Skilled in oral and written communications
'Ability to interact with all levels of staff 'Strong customer service skills
'Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
'Strong background in SQL or transact SQL 'Experience with a BI Tool preferred
'Experience in OLAP cube construction
'Understanding of JDE tables
'Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial reporting
